Trademark Notice
Brand names, model names, reference numbers, and logos referenced on HoroParts.com (including but not limited to Rolex, Omega, Seiko, TAG Heuer, Casio, Citizen, Orient, Tissot, Hamilton, Breitling, IWC, Longines, and others) are registered trademarks of their respective manufacturers.
These names are used solely for the purpose of identifying part compatibility and are not intended to imply any affiliation, endorsement, authorization, or partnership between HoroParts and the trademark owners. HoroParts is an independent parts retailer and is not an authorized dealer, service center, or representative of any watch brand.
What is an Aftermarket Part?
An aftermarket part is a component manufactured by a company other than the original watch manufacturer, designed to be compatible with one or more watch models. Aftermarket parts are legal to purchase, sell, and use for watch repair. They are widely used in the watchmaking industry when OEM parts are unavailable, discontinued, or cost-prohibitive.
HoroParts does not claim that aftermarket parts are equivalent in quality, durability, or performance to genuine OEM parts. Buyers should use their own judgment when selecting between Original and Aftermarket options.
Compatibility Is Your Responsibility
Watch parts — even from the same brand and model line — can vary significantly by production year, serial number range, case size, and movement reference. A part that fits one variant may not fit another.
Before purchasing, you must verify:
- The exact movement caliber (e.g., ETA 2824-2, NH35A, Rolex 3135)
- The case reference and diameter
- The production year / serial number range
- Any generation or revision that affects part dimensions
HoroParts provides product descriptions and SKUs in good faith but cannot guarantee fitment for every individual watch. When in doubt, consult a certified watchmaker or the official service documentation for your watch model.
How This Compares to eBay / Industry Standards
Major platforms like eBay, Amazon, and Chrono24 all permit the sale of aftermarket watch parts. Sellers are required to clearly label parts as "Aftermarket" and are prohibited from falsely claiming parts are genuine OEM when they are not. HoroParts follows the same industry standards:
- Every product is clearly labeled: ORIGINAL, AFTERMARKET, or USED.
- We never misrepresent aftermarket parts as genuine manufacturer parts.
- Part listings include photographs of the actual item where possible.
- Compatibility references are provided for identification only.
No Warranty on Aftermarket & Used Parts
Aftermarket and used parts are sold "AS IS" with no express or implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by Florida law (UCC § 672.316) and applicable federal law.
